For five days in October, GRC 360 Africa 2026 turned Sawela Lodges in Naivasha into one of the busiest rooms in the region for governance, risk, audit and security professionals. More than 300 delegates spent 12 to 16 October working through one of the most urgent questions in their field: how to govern artificial intelligence that increasingly acts on its own. They left with up to 35 CPE hours and a great deal to think about.
Behind the stage, the screens, the sound and the cameras was the team at Billion Events East Africa and its partners, the event partner ISACA Kenya Chapter trusted to keep every moving part in place. This is how those five days came together.

What GRC 360 Africa 2026 Asked of Its Event Partner
ISACA Kenya Chapter runs GRC 360 as its flagship gathering for practitioners, and this year’s edition carried the theme “Trusted AI: Governing Risk, Resilience and Digital Trust in the Age of Autonomous Intelligence”. The programme ran across five full days. The opening two days set the foundation, and Day 3 marked the start of the main conference.

Billion Events East Africa coordinated the event support on the ground. It brought in its technical partner Sound Fusion for the audiovisual, lighting and stage production, deployed its own photography team and Nyats Media for video coverage, and corporate MC Ian Muiruri to host the conference sessions. Preparation began with a site visit to Sawela a week before the conference, followed by alignment sessions with the ISACA team, so that the plan on paper matched the venue on the ground.
Stage, Sound and Light for Five Straight Days
A one day event can survive a small technical slip. A five day conference cannot. Every keynote, panel and presentation at GRC 360 Africa 2026 relied on clear sound, readable screens and a stage that worked from the first session of the morning to the last session of the afternoon.
Working with Sound Fusion, that meant daily checks before delegates arrived, technical crew on standby through every session, and quick turnarounds between speakers with very different needs. A regulator presenting a framework, a panel debating AI risk and a vendor walking through a live demo each ask something different of the production team. The aim at GRC 360 Africa 2026 was simple: delegates should notice the ideas, not the equipment.
Capturing GRC 360 Africa 2026 as It Happened
A conference this size produces far more than what happens in the room. Billion Events East Africa deployed three photographers, three videographers and a dedicated reels creator across the five days. Together they documented keynotes, panels, networking breaks and the moments in between.
That coverage gave ISACA Kenya Chapter a steady flow of photos and video to share while the conference was still running, and a library of material for the year ahead. For a professional body that grows through its members, sponsors and partners, that record is part of the return on the event itself.
Keeping the Energy Up in a Room Full of Auditors
Governance, risk and compliance are serious subjects, and long days of serious content are tiring. As MC for the conference, Ian Muiruri, a corporate MC Billion Events East Africa works with regularly, kept the room moving between sessions. On one afternoon he brought the whole hall to its feet for a quick dance break.

A few minutes of music and plenty of laughter later, the energy was back up and delegates were ready for the next session. “Who said governance, risk and audit can’t move?” the team wrote afterwards. It was a small moment, but on a five day programme like GRC 360 Africa 2026, those moments shape how people remember the event.
The Final Day of GRC 360 Africa 2026
Day 5 brought keynotes, a closing panel, prizes, cake and a great deal of gratitude. Five days, 35 CPE hours and more than 300 delegates added up to one complete GRC experience in Naivasha.
“Watching the conversations around AI unfold in the room was a powerful reminder that we are not just talking about the future of Africa; we are actively contributing to shaping it,” the Billion Events East Africa team said.
The team thanked the ISACA Kenya Chapter team, led by Bonface Asiligwa and Faith Katua, for the trust placed in them. “Our role is to bring your vision to life by coordinating all the moving parts behind a successful event, allowing your board, secretariat and teams to focus on what matters most,” the team said.
The Team Behind the Scenes
None of it happens without people who stay late and keep going until everything is aligned. Billion Events East Africa celebrated its full crew after the conference, a team it calls its billionaires, for carrying the work with grace and joy across five long days.
GRC 360 Africa 2026 joins a busy October for the team, which also supported the launch of the Kenya Carbon Markets Guide in Nairobi and the world record formations in Kampala. For ISACA Kenya Chapter, the conversation continues at grc.isaca.or.ke.
